this is the Flip Mino i bought from the woman in the parking lot last night.

ahhh, was just looking at those online - cool. $100 - not a bad deal at all. May just stick with the phone though, its crappy, but its always on me and ready to go. Plus the file sizes are nice and small.

I've also been looking at those Flip cameras. Curious little gadgets abound. Let me know what you think of it.
 
MotionBox has been going down for maintanence and their 750mb limit per account is going to be a problem in the near future. So i've decided to go to YouTube. My philosophy is that the best tools and services for indie filmmakers are the most popular ones, not necessarily the best ones. And the reason I've picked YouTube over something like Vimeo will make itself very clear, very soon. Losing the embedded video sucks, but the trade-off will be well worth it.

Can't divulge why exactly. Not just yet...

interesting - looking forward to finding out what would make youtube so hot, but once again I imagine you have a trick or two up your sleeve Mr. Zak.
 
Rumor has it Zak has enlisted the talented Paris Hilton to run a mock ad campaign in order to pimp this thread. Watch for it on your local cable channels.
 
Looking great in here Zak. I know I'm still somewhat a newbie around these parts as I've mostly been a lurker but I wanted to stop by and say that I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got planned.

Oh and uh...copying your idea and doing a podcast WOULD be a great use for the camera in my new Tilt phone...but I don't want to be a biter...

If I remember correctly from when I was down in L.A. over the Summer, Matty's SABI pass ended up in the hands of some waitress. Perhaps you retrieved it for him, Mark? Odd that I should recall this, I know, but I have a way of retaining random tid-bits. :)

(PS: I will buy it from you for $5...I love classic Turkish movies! :grin:)
 
I love how these threads turn into a festival of their own. I mean it keeps me from doing things I should and allows me to spend hours reading and writing about absolutely nothing...

Where else can such a thing become such a Fat Monster...Oh did I say that..

I love this! Not even a full week has passed and some of us are full steam onto the next fest. The D90 huh Zak? 30p? Will you do a pulldown to 24p or stick with the 30p?
