Making a dvd menu with AE

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make an animated dvd menu with After Effects and then import it into Encore and use it as the menu. I know this is probably pretty easy, but I can't figure it out, and you guys seem to know how to do everything. If someone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well it's no the hardest thing but somewhat meticulous. Basically you want to design the menu with the text and buttons then create a transition say to black. then render these 2 things out. Then in encore you would set up the buttons so that when I hit the play buttons it first plays the transition (the fade to black) then goes to the movie. Other considerations are making them loop, and having an intro animation. With some experimenting you should be able to get something going.

There is one 2-part tutorial on my lil training DVD that goes through this whole process using 2 menus and ecore with AE.

which after effects and encore do you have? design your motion menu in ae, bring it into encore and attach your menu to the video. select loop if thats your choice. throw buttons on top and whala. thats the jist of it.

here is a tut i think it will help. ae7.0 and encore2.0 have some templates for just this thing. if you select a motion menu from encore, go into the properties to get an idea of how its done.
