"MODEL / PHOTOGRAPHER" - an ELOQUENT GRAFFITI prelude – a film by SABI

Good work, as always, Mark. Does this mean you will sit this one out again?

We don't want to get our asses kicked by SABI.

Seriously, we've really got our hands full currently. In addition to the stuff mentioned on our blog, it looks like we're going into preproduction next month for a nicely funded feature to be shot January/February. Details to be posted in the User Films section when the papers are inked.

I'm hoping we can help out some of the local teams who have been good enough to crew with us in the past. Maybe we'll be able to put together a monster crew for the next fest. ...

Sounds good, Mark, good to hear your busy. I don't mean to hijack this thread (Zak, just tell me to get my Penguin arse out if it bothers you) but what are you doing mid-late December, Mark? I will probably be in town to visit family and any DVXusers who want them some Penguin. :D

Hey Zak,

I know you eschew the common man and the favor of the masses. But I need a thread to hang around this fest and I'd like to invite my madcap merry band of mischief makers too. You mind if we hang out here?

mi casa es su casa. and thank you for the honor of being the subject of one of your "roasts". love it. i need to swing by FMF very soon. maybe this week.

MATT GARRETT - DP
Today I had dinner with Matt Garrett. We discussed the project over Thai food. I think what sold him on the project was that I had absolutely zero money with which to pay him. haha! but seriously, we will resume talks in the near future. We are (likely) shooting this film with the Nikon D90 and will be brainstorming ways to take full advantage of that camera's low-light sensitivity. In other words, we agreed that if we will use the D90, then we need to make sure this is a film that could not have been shot on any other camera. And thematically, the webcam/camera phone "flaws" in the image must be inherently tied to the content of the film. anyway, more to come as this project develops.

Matty's on his way over here to the Monster Shack. We shall interrogate him relentlessly to learn all your secrets.

Tim and I are going to be in the Midwest late December but haven't determined when we're leaving yet. We're still working out our calendar so let me know when you have definite dates Nick.

FM's in the midwest? Which midwest? lemme know if you need some floor to sleep on in Oklahoma...

Hey Anderson. Tim and I are doing Christmas in Kansas and New Years in Lincoln Nebraska. We're crashing at Stebbins' pad. You should come up. We have room.

i swear, the man never sleeps. that was cool as hell Zak, especially since it ties so well into promoting the DVXFest. Are you posting those on the DVXFest Facebook page as well?

Giving me ideas about promoting as well, but have to do it without copying you. Dammit, now I gotta go be original....

please, copy away!!! i'm not the first guy to think of this, i'm stealing it from someone else, who stole it from someone else, etc.

Hey Zak,

I've got Matty's SABI lanyard and pass from your old office in my car for some reason. I'm thinking of putting it on ebay. What is a SABI pass worth these days? I hear it gets you into the Spearmint Rhino clubs without a cover anyway.

your brain fart moment had me crackin up.

the D90 will JUST HAVE TO DO until the s35 eh?

hey, maybe I'll enter.

all the best Zak
