The background, yes, that's a good call. What I am saying is that your foreground is also blurred, which is unfortunate.

pest22o, that's very cool. The placement of the ravens seems a little haphazard, though... you might improve it by giving them a definite progression. More and bigger closer to the girl, tapering off as you get further away. Right now they have pretty much equal density across the board.

Or, you might try making her breasts even shinier, so no one ever notices the ravens at all. ;)
 
I agree on the ravens... and about the "body", lol... but seriously though, her make up pulled her face far off her skin tone so perhaps a little matching could also help tie in the color palette... I'd probably try to bring the face to her normal tanned color.

wes, have you thought about straightening the lamp shade? I wonder what it would do to the picture... or maybe making it a bit more crooked... I wonder if it is so slight yet noticeable right now that it might be considered an oversight by some.
 
Oh, someone else noticed the lampshade, cool. I though maybe I was just crazy. Really nice photo but that detail just jumps right out at me.
 
yeah I noticed it when editing but decided not to mess with it. Imperfections are sometimes perfections you know ;)

When are lampshades perfect anyway

Totally agree. Personally I would have two versions and compare them to the original to see what they did to me, one straight one with double the angle and the original. Personally I like it but something tells me an even more crooked lap shade might please ME more.

What sux is that if you like it you'd have to cut out the phone and bring the light further to the right on the wall to make it 100% believable.
 
Quick pick of my crackhead dog. Focus is a little off, but he moves fast and I still thought the photo was kinda funny.

An old shot I found in my files. I entered it into the photo contest but realized it's not allowed since it's old, so I thought I'd post it in here. It's always intrigued me. Anyway.
 
Divot, he looks like a Speedy Gonzales man... hehe, how old is he? He has to be about or less than a year old... look at his teeth! Those look like the sharp and painful baby teeth that puppies like to sink into absolutely everything they can reach, including your anckles hahaha... I bet crackhead is probably right on for him. :)

Glad you guys liked it. Yeah, he is almost 3 months old now, and you are right about the teeth. My hands regularly look like they have been run through a razor blade factory. I give him about 4 or 5 more months and he should get over that.....hopefully sooner.
 
lol, they are such a PITA the first year~ish....but such a reward after that.

Here is a shot we took playing around at the office the other day while my buddy was trying to prove he could still do a round house kick. The expression on his face proves he doesn't do it much anymore. I got to play with my new 24-70 and some CLS ALW. Nothing spectacular but we had a good time.

Divot, just messing around with you but how about moving that light a bit more towards backlight highlights and less for exposing his ass as the focus point in this picture. I know you probably like him a lot but don't let your true feelings out... hehe...kidding aside I am sure you were rushing to light that cause it looks like you were trespassing at work after hours.. ha ha ha...

Yes, it is my personal goal in life to shine as much light on every mans crotch that I encounter for purposes of showing the deranged people of DVXUser.

I agree on the back light.....and the purpose was to back light him, but any further "back" and you would have seen the person who was holding the flash on the right. Notice the freaking great star pattern the 24-70 is throwing out since I had my human light stand just out of frame.

Is it trespassing if the give me an access badge? Oh well, if it is.....COME GET ME SUCKA'S! :kali:

God it's been raining for the last 24 hours or more! Please stop! The idiots here don't know how to function when it rains! lol.
