ZFarms Productions Presents: Ladies Night

First day of shooting is done. Went great. We started off a bit behind schedule, but we managed to ramp time later in the shoot by cutting a couple shots that were too similar, and ended up finishing just about on time.

Cast/crew gave their all today, and from what I saw in the monitor, it looked great. Can't wait to view the dailies.
 
Hey Dean... somehow I missed this thread. Looks like some good BTS shots and you guys had fun shooting it.

When do you think it'll be done?
 
Our last day of shooting is on the 17th. After that its going to post. We're trying to get it done in time to get it into the LA Film Festival.
 
We've nailed down our lighting gear for the last day of shooting, and the location is for sure a lock. I'm looking forward to the final day's shooting and the film going into post. The cast and crew has put in 110%, and the final product will show everyone's hard work and dedication to the project.
 
Sweet man. Can't wait to see it. If you do screen at the LA Film Festival, I'll definitely make it. You planning to come out here if it does play?

it's kind of cool, the festival is just before my summer break, which is when i was gonna come out anyway and look for places to move to after full sail, and try to start doing pre pro on the project.

By the way, I don't have an air mattress. It's more like one of those pool floating things you use under a sleeping bag. haha
 
that's fine man. i passed out in the back seat of my roommate's jeep wrangler last night on the way home from the shuttle launch. i woke up in a really awkward position, and a really bad neck ache. haha.

i'll probably need help looking for a place. you know your way around out there way better than i do. i'd appreciate the help.
 
Yeah, I know my way around here pretty well. What sort of rent are you looking to pay and do you want a roommate or no?
 
it turns out that my friend from ohio and his friend wanna move out to LA also, so i'm gonna talk with him about me jumping in there too, and the 3 of us rooming together.
 
Production is wrapped. Spencer is doing the editing for us. We should have an edit in a few weeks time.

We ran into a few snafu's while filming the other night, but the footage looked awesome and I can't wait to see it put together.

I'm glad to now be on a directing break. This is the third film I directed in 5 months, and the last two (Ladies Night and Enema) were all big productions as far as the length of shooting, the amount of cast/crew and it's drained me quite a bit. Now I'm focusing on co-writing LossFest. The next short I'm directing is gonna be in April. I potentially have some big news on that. We'll see. I'll start a thread for it once script is approved and we move onto the next phase on that.
