Voiceover goes through the whole film describing the entire plot and events which really took away from the piece. English or subtitled I still think it was a tad much.

You have some nice visuals in there but you never allow them to stand on their own. I suggest you let some of your shots tell the story, not just the narration, it creates a richer narrative that way.

It was a really interesting entry and I dug it, waiting to see how the original language version compares though. Good work!:beer:
 
Yes.. I am interested also, how it will sound in Slovenian language, also. Next week we have arranged narrator and studio, so we are going to record that. After the Twilight fest, we will upload HD version with Slovenian language to Vimeo ( tags: pain container )

We tried to make the movie where the picture wouldn't be 100% what the guy is explaining, but looks like we didn't accomplish that goal..

The friend of mine watched movie, and he said that he had feeling that he is watching Trailer and not short movie..

Alright, I'm gonna play devils advocate and say I liked the english voice over. I agree with everyone on native tongue being better, but your film is SO FRIGGIN WEIRD I thought the heavily accent english was perfect. It just added to the strangeness factor for me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing half the time. And i mean that in a good way. Or in some way.

Anyway.... the film isn't perfect, but you know that. Work on your overall technique a bit and the next one is gonna top this entry no matter what. Just make sure it's... odd.

It was pure luck, that we succed to find somebody with deep and nice voice.. This guy by coincidence logged on the MSN and heccky remembered that he have a deep voice..
He was ready to trevel 60km in one way, and we meet at some studio at Sunday 23:00 to record the VO..

Hmmm. This had fantabulous lighting, well chosen locations - the art direction was just perfect. But the acting and the music and the voiceover were rather poor, they detracted from the entry quite a bit. The music in particular was so horrible I couldn't concentrate on this beautifully lit short. I must also add that I didn't understand the story. Overall I really enjoyed the cinematography, but the rest could definitely use improvement.

This was a very interesting piece. The shot of the world intrigued me and I thought the locations were neat. I'm not sure the story came across as well as it should have. The guy going to another dimension is hard for me to take. But that's just me. I'm also not sure how threatening women in leather are. But that's me. It could be very painful.

Also, not sure I would rely so heavily on a narrator. I think you spent too much time with him. We need to see the story, not be told it.

But a decent effort. Hope to see more from you. Thanks for sharing.

I am glad that you mentioned that you didn't understood the story. I had actually worries that it is too simple ( story )..

An interesting and original attempt which didn't quite work, as others have mentioned. However, much of the cinematography is good with some great scenes. I think if you recut this you could come up with something much better. I have the feeling the material is there. Maybe much less voice over - as little as possible (maybe also in English, I don't know?), keeping the story very mysterious - and a diffferent score would turn this right around.

Hey guys, congratulations on getting your entry in. It was a weird story, and I started to laugh in a few places thinking that maybe this was a comedy but I don't think that was your intention. I just thought it was a hoot having a hot blonde whip this guy. It just came across as campy. But I can see where you wanted to go with it. I liked the look of your actors, the lead guy had a real craggy leading guy look and his boss looked liked it was someone's boss. Hope this helps.

Yes, we are editing the movie from the scratch again, and this time our score guys will have luck to see video before making music ( actually they didn't saw the video so far, since we are waitng for woting to go by )..

Now, the new FX is in progress, and I am hardly waiting to make new CC and to cut scenes better..

Interesting concept. Very strange but very strange can work in the right hands. I think that the narration was a little heavy handed but I understand that you wanted to add that extra dimension (no pun intended) to your story. The acting could have used a little work as well but it wasn't terrible. An interesting entry. Glad you got into the fest. Cheers!
