ps my real response would be have fun on next fest I'm going to sit that one out, but willing to crew on any project I can...and again I take payments of Cash or beer!

I like "Based on a true story fest."

But comedy is so hard to make, it would be great seeing us all have a challenge.

This is funny because just yesterday my production partner called and said "So I guess we aren't doing that surprise piece for TwilightFest?" and I said, "Well, we could always do some pickup shots for the TimeFest short we never finished, toss a ball in there somewhere and call it cake." Then I saw this and laughed. :)

Now, shouldn't we move this discussion to the new official thread?

I'm thinking it does not have to be comedy fest per say.

I mean if we have a theme, you can then apply any genre to that theme.

next Fest I'm gonna beg for a script, cause that is what has been holding me from entering, making a good script,

Here we are looking forward to the next fest while still mopping up the blood from this one.


I'll toss in my opinion hat and suggest Children's film. The current trend is Goo Goo Ga Ga films. Talk to kids like idiots, and you get idiots.

I would love to see what the brilliant minds at DVXuser could do with this. There have been a few sprinkled in the past fests, but I sure would like to see an all-out effort to really tackle this area.

I might be down for a comedy fest or something related that could be turned into something funny.
 
Actually I wouldn't mind a children's film fest. Might be a good reason to make a short animated film I've been thinking of doing for a while.
 
superhero fest? or child superhero fest.. only kid superhero's movies would be interesting.... and something realistic.. perhaps two parents running and screaming from a kid shooting beams out of his eyes after being told he has to eat liver for dinner..hehe
