film schools

So which school will teach you feature filmmaking by actually making features and building courses around that?

Some of these places will charge over $80k per student. So a class of 20 students brings in a gross revenue of 1.6 million.

What film school is 80k a student? Do mean for the total amount for education?

I went to a pricey four year college, and my tuition per year was not even close to that, and other pricey film schools, such as AFI (including rent/food/etc costs) is still around 60k.

Am I missing something?

per year or total, is my question?

My college was about 30k a year (three quarters) if you lived "on campus"... $23,000 a year (three quarters) for just the normal full time student classes... not including rent, food, etc.

It's expensive, but USC is around 40k a year, AFI although a two year program is around 60k (all expenses included) for the first year.

Not cheap. But since when is college EVER cheap?

Columbia College here in Chicago. I think it's the best because you can jump in ASAP, but it is a 4 year college and with all the two year and 16/18 month programs now days it may not be what people want. (But the girls are hot). The hot new school here is called Flashpoint (I think most of the teachers are Columbia grads, LOL). The school looks hot but Columbia is taking over the South Loop in downtown Chicago.
