Log and Transfer to ProRes

8gig Class6 card

53 minutes recorded on the card = 15 minutes transcode time to FCP

8gig transcoded resulted in a 21gig ProRes file

So file size jumps almost 2.5 which is a shame but fine for now.

Is there a need to remove pulldown when log and transferring?

[Boomerang]

Good question. I just posted that on Apples FCP forum. I was guessing no since it is a true 24 so why would you need to remove frames..... but I am unsure.

We remove pulldown checked in the log and transfer box when you imported?

And what does the footage look like.

I unchecked that box. Footage was of a clock so no real test of effect on footage.
