Fs: Andromeda dvx 100b low hrs. (like new!)

If you do green screen work, and want the raw uncompressed video with an extra 2 1/2 stops of lattitude, getting you closer to film, a 4:4:4 color space that no other prosumer camera on the mrket will give you then this cam is perfect for you. I need a stedicam flyer. willing to hear offers on this mint condition beast.
 
Lee, this camera is the ever - allusive Andromeda modification which taps uncompressed information direct from the CCDs. So this particular camera is 4:4:4.

Reem, you need to pipe the camera into a computer to record right? What are the workflow steps for recording from the andromeda DVX?

I am very interested.
 
hey matty, yes +you need to pipeline into a computer, say a laptop or something . some are using mac minis and making them portable hard drives. this camera has been babied by a good friend of mine and i'm serious, it looks and function like a brand new camera. we played with it yesterday and i'm just amazed at the dynamic range this modification allows. unfortunately I do not do not do a lot of green screen and I think a stedicam would suit my puposes better, so pm me with a offer but keep in mine this cam is rare now and in mint condition.
 
Sorry, I never heard about that before. I might have to look into that. Interesting, to say the least.
 
Pics of dvx100b reel stream andromeda are now up but i'm awaiting confirmation of a sale. if anything falls through i will continue to consider offers.

Does anyone have a link showing an example of DVX's normal compression VS. andromeda's 4:4:4? Is regular DVX 4:1:1 like someone said? It's not 4:2:2? And so Andromeda basically just affects the color compression but this doesn't increase resolution right?

It does increase resolution... "pixel shift" is the key... So you get approx. 1540x784 ... http://www.reel-stream.com/andromeda.php
