Which bag to get for the hmc 150 ?

the small one says its for the hvx, which is more then enough room then the hmc150 i assume so depending on how much extra gear you need to carry around you can save the extra 50 bucks

i use this for my dvx :( (right now)

fits the dvx and a nikon d50, lens for the nikon, century ultra fisheye, case of tapes, battery charger, filters, my laptop and still has room

it can fit up to a dvx and hvx side by side in it

and it doesn't have "steal me im a camera bag" on it

thats my own view on camera bags but if the ones you are asking about are more what you need i think the small would be sufficient enough for the hmc150 plus other stuff, just depends on how much stuff you want to bring around

After I posted , "steal me im a camera bag" ,was the first thing I tought about these bags.
I would need to carry some xlr cables , mattebox ,mic and lunch and maybe a laptop.
I need something that will keep the cam safe and the mattebox and protect me from the "locals" :)
Thanks tashbee
I hope to hear more from other users.

for everything you need the ty evans bag by ogio seems perfect if you want better pictures just pm me an email address and i can take some of my bag filled
its also got a tripod holder on the side

Those 16x9 inc bags look great. I'd get the small one which is still pretty big. Great that you can fit the camera with mattebox. That is hard to find in smaller bags and a bag that isn't wide enough definitely snags the mattebox!

I use what I had lying around, a porta brace large run bag that I got from a TV station, it fits my entire audio kit as well. It's nice to carry cam+audio in one bag but it is a _BIG_ bag. I bump into things carrying it, etc.

i would really stay away from the ty bag. its flimsy construction makes it very uncomfortable on your back and zippers are prone to blow out(i went through 3). if you're going to go with a backpack, hands down the kata hb-207. it may be a bit pricey but its build quality and comfort are through the roof compared to the ogio ty2.

other question, which peli or storm case would have enough room for the hmc extra batteries and rode ntg2 mic?

Thanks guys,

Shrigg the footage you shot was great, way better then I expected.
The download finished on Monday morning.looong

I know what you mean with Big bag a dp friend of mine has got the same, he carries his dvx and or sony z1 .It can get very clumsy but is very roomy.I believe he got it from the cable station he' s working for , hmmm.

I'm still undecided have to make up my da*n mind.:(

Well, i'm using a tool bag with carpet padding.... :)

I ordered the shooter's package (comes with a bag, mic, and extended battery) , but have only received the camera so far...

so, this has to do for me until my gear ships. ( hopefully soon)....

LOL. As much as i want the bag and mic to show up, it's the extended batteries i'm clicking my heels about. I'm waiting on batteries from 2 stores. IN STOCK my ass. HAHAHAHA

Any other DIY bags out there? One i saw recently was a canon x-something being pulled out of a plastic tool or tackle box. I think it even had chunks of foam inside to keep the cam from sliding around.

Mind you, that bag is _big_ and maybe the next size down would be less unwieldy. Here is a picture of my Gitzo boom pole not quite fitting into the side pocket."Missed it by _that_ much!"
