Are all the pieces that you removed from the outer shell made out of metal?

The dark peice on the top that has the 3CCD badge on it is plastic but is fits right against metal. The back of the LCD and the bottom plate are plastic too. Same as the HVX200. I was very suprised that Panasonic got this camera so light and almost the entire thing is metal.

Very impressed I am. (said like yoda)

I think the results would be comparable, but the HPX has superior color quality and less compression. but that HMC is holding up very well for a little 3,000 cam. I love it.
