This is what most people call 'test footage',but to me it's not test footage because I've already tested everything.
This is what I call a 'videodoodle' - I haven't decided on an actual project so I'm just shooting random stuff, important to me,but meaningless to everyone else (although I have to say that I love watching other peoples 'test footage'!)

I shot all this footage this afternoon over the space of an hour.

wow really?
although most of the footage i've seen from DOF adapters looks a bit soft (and rightly so, with all the extra layers of glass in front of the lens) i didn't find yours to be softer than usual. it would be interesting to see what a bit of "edge enhancement" (to use barry green's words) in post would do to your pictures. which i find pleasing and natural to my eyes.

Hey Phil, I noticed all the lingo put at the front of the video. Could you interpret it for me - I'm very new to this and love the settings... What other gear did you use?

well the thing that stuck out to me was that he used L series lenses, damn. hahaha those lenses are VERY fast and VERY sharp themselves. Was it an EOS L or an FD L?

Hi, I used a Canon XHA1 with a shoot35 sgpro adapter. The lenses were a 17-40 f4L and a 70-200 f2.8L

Hope that helps:)

They are EOS lenses, but the 17-40 at F4 isn't what I might call fast ;) They are very sharp and have excellent contrast and color rendition, though :)

I paid -

XHA1 - £2300
17-40 - £400
70-200 - £1100
SGPRO - £1200 (that's the whole 'bundle' with flip unit,risers,rods,follow focus,etc)

That's UK £
