Connecting a monitor/screen to the xha1

I tried it a couple months back and had a nightmare. Am I being a complete idiot? A quick how to off anyone would be awesome.

You should be able to just plug it in via the BNC jack. I don't have my camera on me right now, but I believe its on the back right under its own dedicated flap.
 
ah yes. I've just had a thought that it might not of worked previously because I was in HD mode and I was using a SD monitor. Would that be the case do you think?

Does sound like a legit fail-factor, so Id recommend to re-try it and have that in mind.
