Remote follow focus for £150/$300

Way to go Pete, you're list is starting to get fairly long. now hopefully all these people don't back out before you get the finished product and you should do fairly well with this. can't wait to own one myself!

Hi,

I do have a price in mind. As previously discussed, its not $300 anymore. It is however not a lot more, and certainly very dis-proportionate to the featurelist.

Im not going to say anything now, but what I can say is the price of machining and custom cutting drops significantly in larger numbers, so the more I sell, the cheaper I can price it.

Im not doing a 19mm motor mount, as that would cost a fortune and would mean having two motors if you mixed 15 and 19mm rods.

What I am doing is a 19mm adapter. Its a clamp that clamps onto the 19mm rod and provides a 15mm stub that the standard motor mount will clamp onto.

Just cadding this adapter up at the moment....

Of Course. At the moment the process is quite laborious, it involves removing and then replacing four small screws. (the ones in the centre of the gear in the photos. This is good because the spare gears are much cheaper, as it only needs one hub. Its bad becasue it means pissing about with four screws.

What do you think?

No problem. Better to keep the gears cheap for the moment. I need to use gears with Canon pitch for my Lomos and don't anticipate having to change gears on the fly.
