Remote follow focus for £150/$300

That looks pretty dope Peter! I guess you'll be the first customer of it, it's pretty awesome that something you were making to benefit yourself ended up helping us all. It's also cool to see it come along right here.

Now that it's functioning any idea of a price ball park?

Great work. Do you think you'll be able to meet demand? And at what sort of production rate. Being one of the originals from this thread, I've seen how much it's grown and am interested if you'll be able to pump out the volumes. Best of luck to you and hope it works out. I'm still ready to grab a few.

ok I'm not sure what to expect, I can do about 3 units a day, max.

Il give a more detailed respose when I'm on a proper computer not quite mastered iPhone keyboard yet

Hi there, I'm very interrested in your product and would like to be on your res list. How long should it take roughly for me to receive it ?

thanks and good luck

Well the motor mount is arriving tomorrow after a few weeks at teh machine shop. Assuming it all fits and im happy with it, il show you some photos and order more.

The electroincs suffered abit of a setback, Steve, who was set to draw out the final pcb layout emailed me to say his computer had died (hes not gone mac yet) so im waiting for some parts for his machien to get it all finished.

I hope to be ready to ship in a month or so, but dont hold me to it. Im not taking anyones money until i know this thing is up to the job.

Quick update:

The first motor mount came in today from the machine shop and it is incredible. Im very proud of it. Its so solid and sturdy, the anodizing is great and it grips the rod very solidly. I need to make one or two small adjustments to the dimensions, you can see in the photo how the clamp bits nearly touch each other when its tight, so il fix that, but other than that, im very pleased with it.

Here are some photos. Just for reference, the gear will be black, and the orange clamp knob will also be black. The clamp knob is a lift-off type, so you can pull the clamp handle up, and it disengages from the screw, so you can rotate it round to get it into a convenient position.

That looks amazing!! Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to say something else about the mount. Its so solid, its like its welded to the rod. it dosnt twist, and it certainly dosnt wobble. Infact, its so strong, i picked my entire rig up and hung it from the motor mount. no slipping or bending, and my rig is still in one peice. This was the caemra, adapter, lens, motor mount etc etc. 7-8kg in total.

Very happy with this mount, id say the quality of the machining and strength rivals the preston mounts...

Your about 15th-16thish Frank.

I have just airbrushed that life-boat grade clamp knob black. The final one will have black ones, but my knob-shop are out of stock of black, so for the meantime, I just airbrushed it black.

I have also airbrushed the white gear black, and it looks really smart. Il post some photos when the coating is dry tomorrow.
