Does anyone know (or can guess) if the 170 will come down a few hundred after it's initial release? I believe both the DVX100 and HVX200 did so (at B&H at least).
Thanks

Dunno... but that's an attention-grabbing thread title.
Pricing seems to be about $5200 with card and book.

Price drops can occur, but Panasonic tends to offer incentives to purchase instead

Does anyone know the EXACT release date for the HPX, or is that hidden in a vault somewhere below Panasonic headquarters?

i gota call from spec-comm yesterday, they are expecting cams as early as next week but that window extends to the end of the month.... so between 9-15 and 10-1.

Anyone know if anyone's offering a DVX user discount? (and why doesn't B&H?)
