Rough copy intro for my TV show

I'd much rather just shoot things with a camera...live & let live.

As far as the promo, I think you should get real voice talent, lose all the natural sound in the clips, find some better music and speed-up the pace a bit...to excite the viewer. IMHO...

"hunting" with just a camera is fine, but i like to bring home the bacon so to speak..........quite actually I rarely do alot of the actual hunting,I enjoy capturing it all on tape as much if not more so than being the shooter.

On the subject of tele-lens, I'm curious where you got a 2.2x for $50? I use a 3x on my small camera (gs120) for b-roll, but obviously the color and picture quality can't compare to the DVX. What i would really like to find is a 2.5x or 3x for the DVX100 that is zoom through so i could pull back after the long zoom and still capture the hunter without removing the tele, or getting the barrel effect.( But I would imagine that is just a pipe dream lol) A 35mm adapter is not a practical solution for my shooting style.

BTW if you've never had venison, your missing out on one of the best leanest cuts of meat there is,and it's totally organic:)

Thanks for the detailed info.................I could probably give you some pointers on getting close to game w/o them spooking:Drogar-Dum(DBG):lol

Oh, I did some revision to the intro..........

Let me know if anything else needs tweaking.:dankk2:

It's getting there..this is better. I still don't like the voice, it just doesn't have that announcer tone or cadence...and the echoooooo has to gooooo, that just sound cheap. Much better flow on the edit, but have you tried editing TO the music? Try making some of the cuts happen ON a downbeat of the music...it will help.

All in all... way better than the first pass! I also liked the slo-mo (don't remember seeing that first pass).

Voice def. needs to be changed. I would cut the time down to 30 seconds and use only action shots, cut the wildlife just walking around.

The show will be airing the fourth quarter this year on our local Fox station out of madison,wi...........saturdays at noon. And i will have aired episodes running on my website for those out of the viewing area.

Thanks for all of the advice, I'll keep tweaking, I did'nt really like the echo either, but my wife did , so i thought maybe it was just me:huh:

Rather than a VO, perhaps a tasteful swoosh or other sound design element. And the Nat of the guy speaking toward the camera can stay as long as it's not overpowering the music.

Also, most show opens are :30 or shorter. You can cut that down and use it for bumps in and out of the program too.

$.02
