"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

When the hell was everyone screwing around ?

I'm getting blisters and sweating my Huevos off, and everyone is in a model shoot.

Jeeez.

Yeah, it was pretty funny all weekend how things went:

JOHNSON to crew: "Where's Hudson and Gettemeier?"
Crew member: "They're going to be helping with the knife fight scene for the next half hour or so."
JOHNSON: Great! Get the beer out now. Two bottles apiece and get them finished before they finish."

and ...

BLAINE: "I think Hudson is going to be doing the technical walkthrough for the Humvee scene."
JOHNSON: "Superb! We've got the Victoria's Secret models in the wardrobe trailer. Give me a heads-up if the troll starts coming this way."

It was a great shoot for most of us.

It was like a Rap video with explosions!

I can imagine. Do you still have feeling in your shoulder? :Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

Tommy, it had the most amazing shock absorber I've ever seen. I was prone and had the stock shoved into my armpit and could feel the shock absorber compressing even then. When I got ready to fire it the instructor made sure I was far enough back from the scope so it didn't wham into my face with the recoil. The sound of the thing was enormous and thank God I had pro ear plugs in. But the shock absorber took out all of the impact and I could have shot the thing fifty times without a problem. Way cool.

Very nice Mark. Oh, and glad to see some PS in this thread. I mean, God, I was starting to doubt that this was a true Monster thread.*

*Just kidding, the lack of PS pictures was made up for with comics and sweet arse pictures from the shoot.

Ha! With real explosions, why bother with photoshop? :) Nothing like the real thing.

And actually those gold chains arent photoshopped at all. Mark had me wheel about 500 lbs of assorted jewelry in a wheelbarrow behind him at all times should he decide to wear it. He says it makes him look really important and motivates Hudson to work harder so we can spend more time with the models and beer. Having that swimming pool and arcade flown in like that was brilliant by the way Mark!

For all who haven't met him, Mark is quite gangster... In fact, I'm negotiating with him to do a cameo in a rap music video I'm doing soon. Problem is that Mark's gangster image is worth tons of moolah... I'm still trying to convince the client to fork up the cash so we can have the dude in the video. Mark + gold chains... don't even ask... easy 50k for a half hour appearance.

It's good to hear from you Geoff... when I tried to call you back the other day it was to tell you guys to enjoy your trip... both you and Matty G. are serious professionals and you guys did a kick ass job on the shoot... I saw some of the footy and it's excellent... really inspiring stuff.

Now go and 'ave a pint!... and as you guys are having this kick ass experience don't forget to look around and create some memories of the cool places you guys are going.

Jeremy is amazing. This guy is going to be huge. He has such a great eye, such a great attitude and is an all around pro.

SHOOTING DATES

Here is what I am looking at for shoot dates.

The weekend of September 27th and 28th.

Beyond those two days, the nature of the shoots will be sporadic and inconsistent and I'd really hate to have anyone commit to them otherwise. We will be doing a majority of the shooting on that weekend, and probably do a few pickups afterwards.

I also plan to do a little preliminary shooting with my actors on the previous weekend (the 20th and 21st) so we can get some footage to Nate to work with. Should prove to be interesting.

Now off to find a classroom. I have a lead.

STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES AND POSSIBLE CHANGES IN THE SCHEDULE.
I PICKED THE DAYS I DID BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO THESIS FILMS BEING SHOT AT MY UNIVERSITY AND THE EQUIPMENT IS GOING TO BE BACKED UP. BY THIS TIME, HOWEVER, THE SHOOT SHOULD BE OVER.
