Fast and Furious 4: New Model, Original Parts June 5th 09

I have never watched a single one of these films. Should I or are they as crap as they appear?
 
The first one is fine if you don't expect anything from it. It never pretends to be anything other than what it is. I haven't seen any of the others.

I just like to give my subwoofer a workout now and then.
 
It is as dumb as the average hollywood summer blockbuster (transformers ....etc), but it has a lot of glamor and sex appeal (both people and machines :p ). If you want good storytelling, wait for sundance and late fall (oscars contenders).

Agreed.

The trailer for the latest installment looks pretty cool. I don't care what anyone says, the first movie is awesome. It's basically a reworking of Point Break with tuner cars.

The second movie was like a bad episode of Dukes of Hazard...if it took place in Miami. But the cars are nice.
 
as far as mindless action goes these movies arent bad. Obviously the first one was the best and they went down hill from there, but if you go in with the proper expectations like wanting to see hot girls, hot cars, and explosions, then they are decent entertainment.

If you go in wanting to see great acting and a good storyline....well not so much.

The trailer for the new one looks decent, but it is a rental or something i will catch on HBO unless a friend wants to go see it.
 
I know it's sad, but I'm stoked to see this movie.

Jordana Brewster looking like she did in the trailer = me buying a ticket & not waiting for the HBO.
 
i actually liked the last one best. it was refreshing to not have any forced cop storylines. it focused on the driving and characters, thin characters mind you but there was never the "i'm a cop" moment the others (and so many other films) reuse over and over.

Man, the last one was as stupid as can get! The characters totally sucked. I wanted to punch the main character in the face the whole movie! And the driving wasn't so good either.
 
Just watched the trailer.

First ten seconds: Grand National. NICE. :thumbsup:

A car I will have, hopefully sooner rather than later.
 
the movie title is just call Fast and Furious by the way, not the fast and the furious. so woopie doo.
 
The end of the trailer ruined it for me lol...

Here I'm watching thinking "it actually looks like they didn't totally mess this up..." until I saw that ending. Good grief.
