Well aside from a few contradictory posts, I am feeling a bit better.

Still have to wait though. My dojo friend/dude is calling his friend dude later this week to set it up. He's also calling a second friend for me to call. So that's two people. Luckily the first one is a recent film school graduate and his old sensie, so won't be as nervous. However the second one is the one that I THOUGHT was a director. Turns out he's some sort of executive, maybe a producer? He was part of this HUGE company called astral media, but now made his own company, and recently signed on to do a reality show with Mark Burnett. NDA doesn't let me know much more, lol.

Soooo... yeah...
 
Just relax man .Everything is going workout just fine.
and if it doesn't you will still know karate or is it judo ?
 
Lots of great advice here, like always. If you do meet in person just make sure to give him the "wink and the gun". It works everytime.

Truthfully, I liked the remark that was made as to not focus too much on what you want the outcome to be. Don't make it an all or nothing situation. Do ask him about himself because, in general, people do like talking about themselves.
 
Talk about his favorite Subject. This is easy humans all share a common favorite subject...Themselves.

Also be confident, but don't try to impress him. There is nothing worse than someone trying to seem that they are worthy of sitting at the big kids table. Just be yourself and be natural.

Confidence and humility can open a lot of doors. It is also a tricky balance.
