Been ghosting around these boards for a good long while now, asking questions here and there, and now I've finally got something to show for it.

Teaser trailer for "Sarah" on Vimeo... use the download link for the best quality version (in wmvHD) Shot this past July for 11 days, an experience of a lifetime. Let us know what you think, thanks!

Great work! Very professional looking. Maybe one or two unmotivated dollies but that would be seriously nitpicking.

Doesn't look like the same old thing. Very interesting. Can't wait to see more.

Cheers!

Mike

We were using nikon still primes, not entirely but ultimately very happy with them. you're just never quite prepared for just HOW much light you lose through all that glass, lol, even with fast lenses.

for this low light shots ,the hvx200a would be better. thinking of upgrading? hpx170 maybe? or you like your hvx200.

It does look great...

You actually scared me with this teaser geez, was she ripping off her face man that's airy.

Looks great! I want to see this.

A couple questions:

1) When and how are you releasing it?

2) What was your lighting package/setup like?

Thanks for sharing!

If it were up to me to buy a camera now, I'd probably be looking at the 170 or 200a... the HVX we had for the shoot was brought onboard by our DP, along with the Redrock and lenses. If I shoot HD next time around, I definitely want there to be less glass between the body and the lenses, IE going with the RED and use digiprimes, is one avenue. Thanks for the kind workds guys.

Very nice. I have the same rig setup, I can tell by the "look" and the slight vignetting, but a great look nonetheless. I for one really like the dolly shots. The Coens use alot of them and I think it adds to the feel--especially serious, darker films.

Thanks, Tex. The vignetting was actually added in post, the original footage is surprisingly clean. Our DP had his lenses and Redrock in top form :)

Very solid work.

The blood drippin at the end was to thin though but I wouldn't know how to do better :)

Keep up the Good work.
