Studio 'Muggles' postpone new Harry Potter film until 2009

The films have mostly sucked anyway. Only Prisoners of Azkaban is halfway decent. The last one was a complete waste of time.

Not according to my wife. :Drogar-Love(DBG):

Be careful, you don't want her to jump on here.

Honey, please... he didn't mean it!

Is she a fan of the books? They books are much better than the films in my opinion. With the films they kind of just skim over the highlights and plot points but miss a lot of the heart. If you've read the books you can kind of fill in the missing character depth, but taken on their own the movies are just a bunch of fantastic events without any reason to care. And I never really liked the actor who plays Harry.

Loves the books! She's read them all at least twice over. Big fan of the movies as well. She understands going in that they can't touch the books. No problem with Daniel Radcliffe either.

I hope that is the reason to make two films of the last book, to get more details in.......

I don't care much for Potter, although I do enjoy the films. What I really dislike is the studio's moving around films by large amounts of time, just to squeeze more money out. But then again, it's just one big business.

It's funny they blame the writers strike. It's sort of true but they should have just reached a deal in a more timely manner and then they wouldn't have this messed up schedule. :)

There are books !

i read they dont want to movie coming out in the middle of Radcliffs play where hes all naked and having sex on stage and what not, since it contridicts his potter character, and kids will be searching out radcliff in high amounts at that point and will be more likely to stumble upon it, as well as parents (the crazy ones) boycotting or something weird.

of course its about money.

Just wait until he comes out of the closet.

To: All Wizards And Witches
From: Abnet Wartbottom, Ministry Of Magic, Muggle Interaction

As many of you know, we have allowed our Historian Witch, J.K. Rowling to publish the true story of Harry Potter to the Muggle world. However, in order to keep our existence a secret from Muggles, we have had it published as a "Fictional" work.

Should any Muggles happen to talk to you about the story, remember to play along and refer to it as a good work of fiction.

Thank You

Have any of these films ever launched on the original dates? I don't watch them, but it seems that I remember that there's always a delay of some sort. Or maybe it's the books I'm thinking about.
