We shoot 576i WS over DVCPRO50, since we do not yet have the macs that can handle HD material.
We have a Sony DSR-45P, that is used to capture/view Betacam SP over a DV timeline in FCP.
This has worked beatifully well.
Now, with P2 content, I'd like to keep the DSR-45P to view the canvas and timeline on my monitor.
But what setup should I use in FCP to get this to work the best? I thought that the DSR-45P could be used, even if I'm not using Apple DV anymore.
I could get it to work, but not with DV50 or DVCPRO50 setup - there's no image seen on the DSR-45P. Choosing PAL DV works, but I think this will compromise my P2 footage?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!
