ENEMA Strikes Back -- A Production Blog

First day of shooting completed.

It went good. We had a few problems at the beginning, with me remembering lines. I really f***ed them up. Then we got into a groove with a little Crown Royale. That helped a lot. Good times. I'll be posting some BTS pics soon.

No, we didn't shoot all night. I just didn't feel like posting an update after the shoot, because I got kind of drunk after shooting, and uh, passed out.

BTS pics up in a few

Thanks! Yeah, we're gonna get a sound mixer this time around, and put a lot of work into the audio.

Many filmmakers seem to think it's the mixer that gives you good audio. No, no, no. It's all about keeping the microphone as close to the actors as possible and far away from any possible sources of noise. A mixer is just for mixing.

Yeah, I know. But it's the mixer who's giving us good levels, which also equates to good sound.

I looked at some of the footage from the other day, and we may have to reshoot part of it, due to some boom shadow in the shot. We didn't see it on the monitor, but it's there. We basically need to do one pick up shot. A medium shot on my character to help with editing, and get rid of that shadow.

Today we knock out a few different scenes. We have four locations to shoot at today. It's going to be really fun, and I can't wait to get this stuff done.

Day 3 wrapped. Long day. 7am call time. Just got back at 7:30pm. Ran pretty smoothly, with an hour break for lunch. Got everything we needed and more. Very productive day.

Today is the last of shooting on Enema Strikes Back. We're shooting on the backlot of Full Sail. We have three short scenes to shoot today, and we should only have three camera setups per scene, so hopefully we'll move quickly. I don't want to get sun burnt anymore than I already am. Between Saturday and Sunday I look like a goddamn lobster.

I'm really looking forward to wrapping production and handing the footage off to Spencer and see what he comes up with for the edit.
