I guess I'm the only one here who likes Andy Dick. His short lived MTV sketch show was great IMO
My vote goes for Carlos Mencia.
My vote goes for Carlos Mencia.
Joe Rogan was on a local radio show last week talking about how most comics view Mencia as nothing more than a stupid, unfunny thief. I couldn't agree more.
Yeah, I can join in on a little Mencia hate. :beer:Joe Rogan was on a local radio show last week talking about how most comics view Mencia as nothing more than a stupid, unfunny thief. I couldn't agree more.
Just goes to show...
Fame does not equal talent.
And some very very talented people aren't well known at all.
Drew Barrymore when cast as an 'attractive' lead. I just don't get it.
Andy Dick gets my vote.
At the risk of sounding like a cranky old man, I think that there are too many famous people these days. Too many movie stars too. In regards to Hollywood films, I get sick of seeing the same overexposed actors being pushed in my face all the time. I have a hard time suspending my disbelief with certain actors, like Tom Cruise or even Hanks. Not saying they are not talented or that they don't work hard, but personally, I'd like to see lesser known faces more. It keeps the experience fresher and makes it easier to believe that they are the character.
I mean look at Daniel Day Lewis for example. He does a movie every four to five years. I don't get sick of seeing him for two reasons:
1) He is not overexposed. When he walks onto the screen I don't think, "oh, look, there's that Daniel Day Lewis. He was jumping on the couch on Oprah last week. Or, didn't he get a DIY a few days ago. Or, he seems like the same character from the last film, only slightly different."
2) He completely disappears into the role. A lot of these movie stars seem to play the same character but slightly different with each movie.
End of cranky old man rant.
s for Carlos Mencia, I couldn't agree more. He's is such a friggin' hack. He's horribly unfunny. In fact, Joe Rogan has made it a mission to "out" Carlos Mencia as a big time hack and joke stealer. For some reason, I respect Joe Rogan for this crusade. I saw this clip months ago and thought it was VERY telling and really sells Joe Rogans side of the story. LINK
