Only from personal experience.
Anybody knows a good Panna camera dealers and a good place to buy quality sound equipment in Texas?
I am going to be a similar distance from San Antonio and Austin. Looking for a quality dealers that are dependable and that will be there and be willing to provide support when needed.
Paying a little extra $ is well worth it for me if they are helpful and easy to deal with, as I will need the help.
Thank you

Omega Broadcast and Texas Media Systems, both in Austin, have always been great to work with in my experience.
Both have been great in terms of support and customer service, and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with either one again.

I haven't dealt with them for sound gear - but dealt with both of them for Panasonic gear.

By the way, if you're a Texas resident, make sure you fill out the sales tax exemption form if this is for the purpose of film/video production.
Whether or not you're eligible will depend on the specifics of what kind of production you're doing.
You can find info on the Texas Film Commission website, or just ask the guys at either of those places above.
They helped me out with that the first time around and saved me a good chunk of cash.

i use microsearch in houston for camera purchase and general accessory stuff. theyve been very good to me - from both a price and customer service standpoint.

but ive yet to find any good high end camera AUDIO dealer that STOCKS things in texas. they can all order just about anything you want. but if you want it NOW, it can be a challenge. i use cal mazerra at full compass for all things audio. i order stuff from him as late as 4:00 and its at my door before 8:00 the next morning. got my mkh416, countryman, vp88 all from him. good price, IMMEDIATE delivery!

i say forget that tax exemption thing - unless you have a really good CPA. its just easier to pay it and write it off. i was under the impression that most of my work was tax exempt, only to find out later the state thinks i owe them about $7,000 and were still fighting it out!

Texas Media Systems as stated above. Plus 8 in Houston for camera rental.
Omega not so much. Snooty and not as professional as the others.
