Canon Xh-a1 + Sony Hvr-a1u Shoot Together, Will It Work?

Can someone tell me if these two cameras shot together will work?

CANON XH-A1 + SONY HVR-A1U = Compatible?

I've actually tried this and it works decently for the most part. The Sony certainly will not look as good as the canon and the colors will be off depending on your settings. However if you color grade them the same, it should not be to noticeable. I've only tried this on a dance recital so I can't really compare it to a well lit event. Note that the Sony isn't very good at low light...

Thanks for the info 91, I will be doing a live music event so that is good to know! Maybe I will use the Sony for the close ups and the canon for wide shots...
