"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

Yo Kyle,

We'll be sending Nate back this week. Take good care of him, ok?

I've been trying to figure out what thread to call "home" and am going to provisionally choose this one (joined your FaceBook group too). I will hang here as long as you provide the requisite amount of hype, wit and occasionally bizarre photoshopped pictures to amuse me. :) Let's make this a monster thread, boyz.

I though I'd start my day by jumping on the good old dvx user for shiggles and giggles and low and behold I find this little slice of awesome!

We'll definitely keep him alive and kicking for all of his friends back on the west coast.

I'm proud to be a member of the Monster team so likewise I'm ready to play host to all the crazy fart jokes, photoshopped images, and strange goings-on that are so typical of the Fat Monster film threads.

That being said, I wouldn't mind bringing you on board as some sort of an FX supervisor since you know Nate well enough now and can talk to him effectively and professionally. - All up to you though, mang.

Made a lot of headway today in the sound department. I spent the better part of the morning recording and testing different sound environments generated with my Yamaha Motif-ES8 workstation keyboard. I have decided to compose my own music for the film, which is a daunting task for anyone trying to juggle school, work, and everything else. I think, though, that this project is going to allow for a LOT of creative freedom in the way of sound and I can't wait to start posting some stuff so you can all critique me, throw tomatoes, and rate my thread with 1 star.

:dankk2: Off to the script!

Sick poster dude. Totally sick. Probably my favorite poster of yours that I have seen so far. Seriously...it looks like Blockbuster quality!

Peace.

Yo, homer! Good to see you around. I was talking about you the other day. We definitely need to get a jam session scheduled for us & some other musicians. It's been too long.

I've been meaning to talk to you about Dead Week. I'll send you a PM and facebook group invite in a little bit.

This is most definitely where the party is at!

It's funny you should mention that Mark is always where the penguins are.
I was just surfing the tube yesterday and came across one of my favorite shows, Planet Earth, and to my surprise I took a closer look into the slew of penguins and sure enough... IT'S MARK JOHNSON!

Must be cold out there. I imagine it keeps his beer chilled.
Anyone else catch this? I was too late to DVR it.

I'm off to hit the trails with my bike and my canon rebel! I'll be making my rounds to different spots around the town to snap photos of prospective locations.
Gas is just too damn expensive.

Keep checking back.

Hot damn, I'm excited now that I have a thread to hijack at will. I've got some pix from Matt Gettemeier's visit to L.A. that I shall post later today. Good stuff.

Yassah indeed, this is the Penguin's roost now.

This looks like a really fun and exciting project, Kyle. Can't wait to see how it develops.

Thanks, Geoff.

I tell you what. I'm really worried that this project is going to get me fired from my job. Perhaps that is what exhilarates me most. I've taken several location photos I'm going to upload in the next half hour. Many of them are set in my bank (where I work). The plan is to shoot on Sundays and hope that no one walks in.

And ****... we're going to have zombies, and blood, and everything.

YIKES!

To be honest with you, I'm placing a lot of the work on our FX team... let's ready ourselves for some detonation films! DEAD WEEK IS A 70'S SLASHER COMEDY!!

Kyle, I love gorilla style film making. Sometimes it produces the best results. It didn't for me, though. :( For my TimeFest entry (or what I did of it) there was one scene where we trespassed on a property for sale. The neighbors were watching because it was the dune buggy scene and we were a bit loud. I said we had one chance to do it and it came out all shaky and ****. Ah well...

Best of luck to you!

Dude....dude! Thanks for the kind words back there! This community r0x0rz my s0x0rz, fr rlz :D And those location shots are awesome! I agree with Mark, the basement stuff is orgasmic...like I sorta want to shoot my and Alex's film there :P
