Hi,
I got a question regarding handling of Canon´s 25/24f format with MC3:
I know that the "f" format is not true progressiv so I can´t capture it in a 1080p25 project. The only workaround I found was an older thread in the avid forum:
http://community.avid.com/forums/p/17073/95433.aspx#95433
I tried this and everything seems to work but I don´t understand Point 3 of this topic: I can´t see any differences between deinterlaced material and the transcoded DNX185 material. Is it really essential to make a deinterlacing after transcoding (tried it a few times with different material, but there seems to be no different at all) ?
Is there possibly a better way to handle the Canon format within the avid application (the thread is over two years old) ?
Thanks.
Jan
