A1 + New Black Magic

Has anyone seen the new black magic device?

Just thought it was intresting, and was wondering if anyone knew if this would give a higher quailty out of my A1 since its straight component out.

Hi Macaholic262. Looks like it only captures SD video, and it compresses to H.264, so I doubt if it is suitable for what you want.

The Blackmagic Intensity Pro is what you're looking for. At $350 it has analog input. But keep in mind that you'll likely need a RAID setup to handle the data stream and the difference isn't going to be night and day.
