35mm adapter rig photos

This is the rig as we used it for the first two days of "Splitting Hair", we got the wrong MB from Panavision so we only had that little lens cap which did the trick for almost all flares but we couldn't use the Polarizer at all.

Well, we are doing most of Splitting Hair on my dolly, some very much called for hand-held and I don't want to over-use the Steady... plus it is way easier to get the steady guys for the particular scenes... I only want Chuck to come in for the intro to the Comedy Club where we set the mood. We might not be able to get him again for this Sunday early in the morning. I put out an other call to our friend to see if he could do it if Chuck is working. I hope we get him cause it really fits, it isn't just for using a steady. I am sure you will approve Hoarp.

For the rest of the days we are still using CordVision's SGpro with the new stainless mount and his Arri Follow Focus, and Siniarch's CARRION and Nikkor lenses (24mm 2.8f, 35mm 1.4f, 50mm 1.4f, 85mm 1.4f, 135mm 2.8f and finally 180mm 2.8f, all with high blade count). The head will be the same the dolly the same, and if we do we might only use the crane once, on my dolly only for the beach which we will shoot on the 27th.

Been waiting a long time to finally do this.

HVX200A + Brevis MP.1 Flip + Brevis Rails System + RR Follow Focus + Cinevate Mattebox + Noga Arm + Marshall Monitor + Nikon 28, 50 and 85.

I guess that raiser can double for a shoulder pad if you just added some padding. It looks a little high though. Does it have height adjustment?
And how do you go from your Rock Band into the HVX? BTW, there are better ways to record your score.

Yep, it's height adjustable. That's as low as it will go without crushing my follow focus. Completely secure though. Also, I use my rockband controllers to control the iris and zoom while occasionally playing Blue Oyster Cult on the LCD. :D

It looks like you've got some room to slide the FF out (I have a RR as well). You loosen the knob under the rail mount and the FF unit slides sideways. It's got quite a bit of travel...

You probably know this, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Cheers!

Thanks for pointing that out! Now i checked the rig and theres a tightener ring on the fujinon that gives it a snug and tight lock on to the achromat thats loose! The achromat is shoved right into the front barrel past the filter thread.

I was taking that pic for my mattebox post in DIY section and wasnt careful with the connectors. Stupid me.

Here are some pics of my adapter and the first project with it. It was a 48 Hour Film project and it did very well. Will have to get a larger head for my tripod as my 501 is way too small for it but didn't have the time or $$ to get it before this project.

Wow! Thank is so high up in the air! How does it handle?
yeah, we realized afterwards that we can lower it and we will. I'm shooting a music video for Capitol Lights and after that shoot we're going to modify it and drop it. Having that high just so we can mount the battery compartment below the adapter is not worth it. It wasn't bad though. I need to add counter weight mostly so it's not so front heavy.
