Filmed for the Toronto 48 Hour Film Challenge.

We were unable to make the deadline, despite being in the parking lot trying to get the tape transferred to Mini-DV, so our film is entered as a non-compete for screening only. We aren't eligible for prizes at this point and we just wanted to share our experience and the movie we managed to make in the time given.

We filmed on the HVX200 fitted with the Brevis Adapter, Canon FD lenses (50mm f/1.8, 135mm f/2.8).

Anyway, any comments or critiques would be cool to have from you guys.

Why didn't you finish???
I liked it overall.
I thought the camerawork was overly jarring at times. Love the look though, that Brevis is awesome. (Sweet rig!)
I thought the acting needed work, especially the protagonist and his girlfriend.
The music worked really well.
Nice locations.
The last shot made me smile. Good job!
So why didn't you finish?

forgot to switch the footage over from 720 HD mode in Premiere, to NTSC so that the camera could record to tape. apparently HD doesn;t recognize the firewire as a viable output. i had to learn the HARD way.

pretty good story, just hard to pull off something psychological like that on such a tight timeline. I think the sound could've been crisper or maybe it's just vimeo. As well as the camera movement sometimes could've been smoother even though you was going for that dynamic handheld tense look. And I'm not sure why wear a particle mask to slice a throat, but whatevs. Overall looked very good, very jealous of the adapter too!

Oh the particle masks... right those things.. we had to use them and thought: maybe the guys didn't want to get blood in their teeth while killing stuff? Mabe we could have been more creative with it.. made the basement moldy or something... but there are no lines in the basement, just killing...
