What lengths are you taking to get to the fest?

Some people are coming from pretty far away to get to this fest, so I know there are probably some going to more ridiculous lengths to make it out to Hollywood for as little money as possible, but I thought I'd let you all know what I've decided to do in the name parsimony:

- Drive from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs (past Denver's DIA) with a random person or two (found through CraigsList's RideShare category) to share the gas cost.
- Leave my car at a friend's in Colorado Springs (no parking fees); get a ride from his brother to the airport.
- Fly from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas.
- Get a ride from Vegas to Baker; another ride from Baker to the High-Desert.

And this is where it gets tricky. Either getting another ride from here, renting a car for a few days (even with some sweet discounts and costs split a couple ways, it's still pricey), or borrowing a car.

Now if I can just get In-N-Out and am/pm to sponsor the trip, I might not go broke.

You should look at Greyhound Bus or something. They have some cheap fares. I get back and forth from Vegas and LA for $50.
 
Heh, and I thought my trip was difficult! Ken and I are hitting the road from Portland up to Seattle at about 4:30am on Friday then doing the three hour drive to Seattle, flying into LAX where GageFX is picking us up!
 
waking up 5 am driving from Waco,Tx down to Austin, Tx. Flight is at 815 AM CST. Arriving in Santa Ana,Ca at 915 Ca time. Fat Monster Limo will pick Gary and I up...not to bad for us

total miles away from home = 1450ish
