OK I'm pretty sure this question has been asked before and I tried looking for the answer on here but couldnt find it.

Finishing up my first short film and id like to take a screen grab from my film to use for my poster....which i know how to do. But Is there any possible way to get a clearer image from my dvx100 footage than what I export or perhaps exporting a different way than i already do using the quicktime conversion. im doing the poster in Illustrator so maybe theres a way to up rez it in there....

if this question has already been answered and u know where i could get the
answer ..possibly point me in the right direction ? appreciate anyhelp thanks !

It's kinda rough- DVX100 footage is 720x480 at 72dpi. That's going to look good at about 2" x2". Blow that up into a poster and it's going to look like heck. I'd suggest instead grabbing your nice digital or even point and shoot digital still camera and shooting something... anything you can use to evoke your poster. That is assuming we're talking about something for print rather than web use.
