Ah man this thing looks NUTS!!

Keep an eye on Tim and make an extra effort to ensure that Rogan's pants stay on. I really wish I could come out there and join you guys. You have no idea how bad I'd like to come along.

I will be in northern Nebraska preparing myself to play piano for a wedding. It should go without saying that I would much rather be on the west coast getting silly with all you DVXUSER hooligans.

I hope to get a couple drunk dials from you fools out there. Mark and Tim should have my phone number... don't hesitate to bother the hell out of me that night. -- Listen to Super Luis and don't be afraid to drink a couple beers for me. Should be one heckuva party over there.

this is very cool and i'm very flattered...however...that has me at 3 inches taller than I really am...and about 15lbs lighter...

and yes they should have the pants option onall gov. ID's.

Hi Mark,
I'm sure it's impossible, but it would be great if you could get "special approval" for one 17 year old too - Kevin Chacon. He co-wrote and directed "Survival". Some of his crew have their names down for the party and I feel really sorry for the guy getting left behind. I know I'm putting my finger in a pie where it doesn't belong, but I just thought it was something to keep in mind.

Kevin would LOVE to go. We understand though, if it turns out to be impossible. The rest of the Survival crew (if someone can bring Tristan from Vegas) will be there, and I know Kevin will watch it live with his family if he can't be there too.

Yeah it would be super cool if we could get Kevin one of those fake id's like Tom Made for Dustin. Not that I am all about the legality of it but it would be a shame if he could not be there because of his age. Well as my brother said the rest of us will be there to represent...So see all you awesome filmmakers there...

What time is the event? I'm sorry if I missed the post somewhere?

And is there a screening schedule of the films? In case we can make it later. :)

The venue offered us the time 6 to 10 p.m. and we took it. We couldn't start sooner and we couldn't go later (at 10 they open the place to the public as a club). Thus, we are scheduling the event to build up to the climax of announcement of winners and screening of the top 3 at the conclusion. We'll be screening films for the rest of the time to expose attendees to the talented work of DVXUSERs.

Here is a preliminary schedule of what's going down on Friday Night.

Doors Open - 6:00 p.m.

Timefest Finalists - 6:40 - 7:30

Exhibition Films - 7:40 - 8:30

Timefest Winners - 8:30 - 9:00

Cocktail time! - 9:00 - 10:00

----

Make sure you and your friends get there early if you have a film in the top 10. I know people have work and other things but do your best. Obviously if you make it into the top 3, your film will screen twice.
 
I will fly like the wind but we will have my brother his wife and Tristen there so no biggie we are covered either way. Nice I should be able to get there before anything really important starts...

We'll be in Hollywood, with potentially hundreds of the most creative, up and coming, influential film craftsmen ... Maybe we should stay up all night and shoot a ground breaking film and take the town by storm!!!! :nads:


Or, we could go to Luis' for a midnight BBQ since you guys will all be drunk by then :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
 
Guys, this thing looks like it is approaching critical mass. RSVPs to our e-vite have jumped and I'm beginning to get notes from people in the biz indicating that others outside our community are talking about the event. We'll be seeing a rotating banner here hopefully today and we got a CRAIGSLIST event notice up for Hollywood that should get the attention of the denizens here. Some of the industry pros that we invited last week have also responded indicating they will attend and are bringing guests. This should really be a great networking opportunity for everybody.

Cinespace kicks us out at 10 to reopen as a public club. Fat Monster will caucus and come up with some info as to where the cool people and Hyten's women will be going so you all can converge with us. I'm expecting a long night and good times in Hollywood with a really good crew. Hopefully there will be a few more plane tickets purchased yet this week and we can see more of you.

It also appears that we are going to have most of the O2 crew reuniting for this. Haven't heard from Ted in a week but we can hope he's mobile and may surprise us. Jack Stanley is making noises that we may see him and Matt Gettemeier is a definite. All in all this looks like an evening that will be legendary.
