Getting the viewfinder infro onto external monitor

It would be nice to view the focus assist and the other readings (the frame and letters/numbers) that appear in the viewfinder and the flipout lcd on the external monitor. Is there any way to do this?

Okay, I got the info to show on the monitor, but is there any way to get the focus assist box to pop up on the monitor too?
