runtime error on "export>untitled>quicktime>custom"

When i go to export as quicktime, tnen go to custom settings, then format options, and I click any of those buttons e.g. frame rate, then i get that run time error and avid closes. Anyone know a fix for this?

This was an issue in some versions of the editing systems. If I remember corectly, it had something to do with "make compatible..." being checked or unchecked.

That was happaning to me with 2.5.3, but it hasnt happend yet with 2.8.

I tried the newest version of Avid which i think is 2.8? But i'm working on a sata raptor drive, and it keeps crashing. I searched on google and apparently i'm not the only one who had that problem so I switched back to my older version.

But, on topic, where is the "Make compatible" option? I'll try checking that and see if it helps.

I think its a quicktime problem. I used to have that too but went back to quicktime 7.3 I believe and don't have the problem anymore.
