hey i ve shooted some dvcpro50 test(god sake test)on sequzee mode and i have opned up a dvcpro50 widscreen(1.422)project.But they still look like 4:3:and they look 1.067 in the bin:( then i go to footage interprate option,and let the premiere read them widescreen(1.422)and they look fine.Did i do smthng wrong?Or is it how it should be?As far as i know hvx shoots native 16:9 dvcpro50?

My shooting setting are;
576i/25p
Dvcpro50 on the firestore
and p2 format

thanks in advance.

hey man its sounds like your firestore isnt reading the signal correctly and yes its completely ok to interperate your footage as 1.422 for fixed the firestores mistake, it probably doesn't record the par settings :)

Yeah as long as you actually shot squeeze just click the 16:9 checkbox in your bin for the clip and it will look correct.

How it can be possible PhantomVideo?My FS100 looks fine and working good.I take it as a joke:)But setting the aspect to squeeze from the camera is the correct choice right?normal means 4.3,squeeze 16:9,so if when i shoot like this,why should i interprate or clik the box and correct it?It sounds wierd...is everyone doing like this?

thanks

Calm down boss, we all have work to do and sometimes it takes a while to get back to these threads, your footage is fine, your FStore is fine, it just doesn't tag the files in the header for PAR (pixel aspect ratio), you can set it yourself in your NLE (which you are currently doing) your no losing any qulity or picture or native editing options, just correcting something that FS100 is APPRANTLY NOT doing. in prem you can change multiple clips PARs, just select more than other do do the rest of the process your already doing :)

If use were using P2 you wouldn't encounter this issue, a FS is a workaround product expect to make some adjustments to a workflow :)

Hımmm right,now i feel better:)On the other hand i really beleive in now,dvcpro50 is giving better results rather than HD if you ar finishing on SD(dvd...etc)

Yup its certianly a nice codec the sharpness and color is awesome, I work for a small post house and all of our SD is DVCPRO50 we have selected project we complete in HD and choose the format based in the project,
