Uncontacted Indian Tribe Discovered - Fascinating

Hey guys, I don't know if this will peak your interest, but I found it absolutly fascinating. I guess in Brazil an Indian Tribe was caught in aerial photos in the Amazon and it is supposedly "uncontacted." It looks like something from 1000 years ago...or more. It's crazy. Do you think these people have no idea that we are out here? That we are so advanced? I am wondering if they don't know or do know and just choose this lifestyle. If the former is true, I wonder what they think about the planes overhead. Maybe they create crazy religious myths about them. I guess we won't know, though, they are trying to leave them alone.

I don't know. I found it crazy-intense-cool. FULL ARTICLE.

its amazing to me thats there's one square inch on this Earth that's undiscovered in an age of satellite imaging and internet. In fact, I kind of find it hard to believe ;)

lol...I hope that comment didn't make me sound racist. :)

It has to be full body paint though. The black one is not human black...looks charcoal/paint black. Especially compared to the others.

We should go in there immediately and help them with medicine and give them Internet access like they had on Nim's Island. I have dibs on their life stories!

They are probably the happiest people on earth, at least until civilization gets ahold of them.
I say leave them the F%*k alone.

When the plane flew over they tried shooting it with there bow and arrows?
Bow and arrow? Someone has seen them before.

In hunter gathering society the work week averaged a total of 9 - 12 hours with labor split according to gender.

Compare the 9 - 12 hour work week with our current 40 - 60 and ask what all of our modern "advances" have gotten us.

Definitely leave them alone. Maybe ... maybe study them via telephoto lenses or something as we could probably learn more from them than vice versa, but then again maybe not, wouldn't want to wind up changing them through the observer effect.

What happened to the first three efforts?:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

They were shot down by a pack of polar bear Nazis. Give one of those beasts a popsicle and your done.

Haha! Everyone makes mistakes, some more than others. Now you have all seen my first.*

Zim, I do not know. The internet has been around since the dawn of man, right?

*An obvious jest on my part. Hmmm...I think this has happened before.

I suppose it could be done, but it's not. There are other pictures in fact and the whole article and such. This isn't off some off the wall forum either.

What do they mean "uncontacted"? Just undocumented? If that's the case, what makes them so backwards? Although I find it mildly interesting they have no knowledge of the internet (how are we to know that?), I also read nothing in that article that would imply they aren't modern. Is all they have to go on some pictures? Lots of questions, but it seems almost as if they're jumping the gun with this one.

Let me guess, FOX is going to airlift them out of there and then place them in the middle of NYC for their new reality series called, "Fish Out of Water".

You know they'd do it if they could. And I'm sure there's some one, some where, thinking of a way to exploit them. Hopefully Brazil will do what they can to protect them from the dangers of "us". They obviously survived through the Industrial Revolution and Internet Boom of the late 90's, I think they'll be just fine without toilets and modern health care.

But you're right about the Internet. Someone get them a One Laptop Per Child computer, fast!!!

:) :) :)

…I find it mildly interesting they have no knowledge of the internet (how are we to know that?),…
I think you're onto something here. I bet if you peeled the roof back on that hut you would find a 4gB fiber channel network. And that orange guy looks like an IT manager.
