My DS adaptor all of a sudden doesn't work on my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5.2. It was working great for months and now it crashes the Mac - my machine never crashed until today. It left me high and dry in the field and we had to do tedious transfers out of the HVX through the Mac onto an external hard drive. The machine not longer recognizes the P2 cards via the DSA.
Does anybody have any ideas why this problem crops up out of nowhere?
I haven't updated any software. I repaired permissions and found no difficulties there. Others have mentioned that updating QuickTime could be causing the problems - how can that be? I am running the 7.4 version of QT and have for some time.
If anybody has any insights I would appreciate hearing from you. A once stable platform is now failing and the whole P2 workflow is interrupted. Thanks.
