This is a short industrial film we are shooting this weekend. (May 17,18) We do one of these each year for Signature Fundraising (www.sigfund.com) a national school fundraising company. They are short kid's films used to promote the fundraiser while being entertaining and engaging to the kids.

This year we decided to use the release of the new Indiana Jones film, and have decided to do a comical adventure movie titled DANGER DAN AND THE TEMPLE OF ISIS

75% of the film will be shot on a blue screen (that's right, not green screen, as we're using practical plants in front of the screen)

I'll post more information after the shoot. The cast/crew list is below.

First day of shooting was today, lots of fun! Everyone did a great job! We shot two cameras, stock HVX. We shot about 6 pages of script today.

Sounds like fun. Was this a pay gig or do you donate your time and effort to their project? Its good to give some to the community and its nice to get paid. Just wondering. I do a lot for Kids projects when I feel it can help them out in a positive way.

Good luck and can't wait to see some shots.

It's part of our job, our company used to be a division of the fundraising company... but I'll tell you it is fun to do something lighthearted... kind of takes some pressure off.

Hey good for you Brandon. Man is that he might have joy and laughing is the best medicine in the world. Humor can cure a lot thats wrong at the moment and to do something thats actually fun is a wonderful treat.

Hey Brandon, this really sounds like a great project. Have a lot of fun!

Will it be possible to see a trailer or some footage someday?

Anyway, good luck :)

Ha this is great! It's funny cause my bro and I have been talking about doing a Indy fan film. Grabs look great (may be a little over lit IMHO), I think the kids will love this. Great logo design too by the way.

Have you tried to key these yet? I'd be interested to see how well the monkey's fur holds up (we have plans for a short that involves a furry puppet on green/blue screen.)

Not yet, but Hank is pretty amazing at compositing stuff... we've done lots of projects, including a recent kids history show all on green screen... I'll def. post some tests once we do some.
