QT or FLV for the Web?

Just curious what you think regarding using FLV vs. QT for encoding DVCPRO HD for the web?

1.) Which format do you think results in better visual quality?


2.) Can anyone recommend a free site that hosts video, such as, Youtube, but higher quality?

The movie star update has came out and now allows QT movies to be played within a flash window so you get the best of both worlds

1. If you encode it as H.264, why not just let it play in the QT player?

2. Is this the same H.264 that will play on a video based iPod?

There's many reasons, especially if you're a web developer.

Playing H.264 in a Flashplayer allows many things, the most important being flexability. You can completely customize a player window and mold it to your site and not to mention you have full screen capability. Actually the benefits are endless.

Yes it is the same encode for an ipod/iphone H.264/AAC audio
