Not like there was much doubt, but still, it's awesome getting in. Consider this the congratulations for all that is to come (at least festival-wise), or else I'd be posting every other day (yes, there's a bit of jealousy - heh - good job, Zak!)

heehee, i've had my share of heartbreaking rejections too. but i don't post those. :) *cough* cinevegas *cough*

I'll be damned Michael Dunn is on DVXuser! I had no idea. Loved The Bet, very well put together. And not to hijack...go Zak!:)

Just learned we are screening twice at the FEAR NO FILM FESTIVAL in SALT LAKE CITY between JUNE 26 and 29.

Thats pretty cool Zak.

Real high end production value on your BTS interviews for your short... those are probably better than most indie feature film BTS work.

heh.

Tomorrow (actually, later today, it's nearly 4AM) I will be meeting with the mad genius of sound... Zach Seivers... and he will unleash his sound design fury upon 'IFHY'. by the end of the day i'll walk out with a rich 5.1 mix to debut in a few weeks at the Los Angeles premiere.

which means, i should get some sleep. I'm going to make a little doc on sound designing IFHY for the upcoming DVD too!

And the few times it has been rejected by a festival, I like to think it is for the title. Makes me feel better. My hometown festival in Harrisburg PA rejected me and that is a very conservative area. I'm thinking of resubmitting it next year as Bunnies and Hugs (and Rainbows).

hahaha, I love it. I love that "and rainbows" is in parenthesis. It's like, in case it wasn't friendly enough, there's also Rainbows involved.

another festival announcement...

BIG SUR INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM SCREENING SERIES
JULY 24th, 2008 at Dusk

more details to follow, but this one screens outdoors, under the stars in beautiful Big Sur... they selected 50 short films out of 1200 submissions and I was privately told that we were easily one of the most popular amongst their screeners.

just found out we are in the "second round" of review for Dances With Films.

and if you don't mind keeping your fingers crossed for me, Filmmaker Magazine called me up out of the blue this week because they are considering me for their upcoming "New Faces of Independent Film" issue this summer. that would be amazing.
