To the folks working on the top of frame flashing, some who don't even have the problem personally, many thanks. Your gesture is a tribute to the spirit of this online community.

Now, perhaps the good people that made the camera might come forward and offer some insight to solutions for this problem.

As this issue has been bandied about for some time now and service techs have been noted to be aware of the camera owners concerns, the position of the manufacturer should be revealed.

I think that would be reasonable!

Well, one final note before I abandon 1080 24pa, I'd like to point out that Panasonic's refusal to offer any help in fixing their products shortcoming isn't
just a slap at me.

I'm sure the Discovery folks, History Channel people and all the other consumers of our product (i.e. stuff shot on hvx200s) are net addicts just like the rest of us. They likely take note of our problems with equipment and weigh which workarounds are acceptable and which are not. I doubt having to zoom in for an entire production to lose noise at the top of the frame will pass muster.

Is this just my problem? Nope...any body with an HVX200 gets painted with the same brush.

It was once said "we can hang together, or we will surely hang separately"

(a little over the top, but hey)

Okay Al, look -- you've tried repeatedly to "call out" Jan here -- but have you at least had the decency to send her a private message?

And, I'd be willing to bet ten bucks that the problem has nothing to do with the camera, that it's an FCP/Apple problem. So are you equally over on the Apple forums calling them out, threatening that they'll lose Discovery/History/etc if they don't fix their bug?

One thing we don't tolerate here is people trying to use our forum as their own personal hammer to beat or berate any one company. There is NO camera company representative who's easier to get ahold of than Jan. So why not send her an e-mail or a private message instead of trying to grandstand here?
