What kind of lighting is this

Frankly this seems to be an on-camera-light with 216 gel and a black vignette added in post.
The reason is I can see the black vignette move with the camera and as the camera gets closer, the light gets more intense. Also the reflection of the light that you can see in some parts looks just like an on-camera light with 216 gel clamped to the barndoors.

its a diffusion gel. Makes the light a bit softer also reduces some glare which I find nice for on cam lights. 216 is the gel number in the rosco catalog.

I honestly dont know what I'd do without google. Although really if you think of it, use www.isara.org instead and help out the official DVXuser charity. Good people at the ol Isara.

Thanks for the replies - two lights? Interesting. The reason the lighting was interesting to me was that it didn't seem your typical light source, the colours seemed tweaked, like how you dodge and burn in photoshop heh.

Its an obie light. Could be a Kino/diva it has that floressent look/feel. Yes it looks awful (FLAT) but thats standard today. The editor added vinyetting around the edges, and that helps it a lot. The Cameraman is very inexperienced for putting that woman up agains a wall like that, A bathroom is no place to shoot a standup. It's a small world, but come on. She is talking about creativity. The DP is lacking lots.
