Meeting Your Partners Parents

That would be handy when I'm skint wouldn't it.

Wanted to say Girlfriends parents, but, some people may have Boyfriends etc.



( edit - have to go meet them now, this should be interesting. just wanted to know if anyone had any bad experiances. )
 
i found out my now wife's dad was a cold war spy, the day before i met him. not to mention, i watched meet the parents the day before i met him. he carried cyanide tablets and the whole 9 yards.

Good point Dory - we really arent any good at this. Shouldve asked what microphone would work well in your girlfriends parents living room or something. That we can answer. Tell em you want to be astronaut. Nobody ever says, you know I really hate astronauts.
 
Heh, yeah, but they do look weird. All fat and white and have shiney faces that look the same... HEY! there jsut like rednecks and Canadians :-O!

Severe Thunder & Lightning.

Got a lift back with her mum, that was, lovely. Was trying to stop her daughter from asking to give me a lift though. Being electricuted would have been less painfull.

I feel your pain, it's always an akward mission to meet the parents.

but once it's done, it's over with and you can go on.

like going to the dentists.

Or if he wanted to know what lighting kit to sneak into the house to make him appear less creepy. Or maybe some good conversation starters besides pirates and LOST. "So, Girlfriend's Dad, what do you think about the HV20 in comparrison to the HVX?" Girlfriend's Dad drops fork and stares at Ki-Ki with half confusion, half "who the Hel is this guy?"

Hmm...it would probably help if you've known the girl since Kindergarten, and thus already know her parents from the little arts and crafts projects you used to do. This is funny, I always thought Ki-Ki was gay.

Just kidding. I knew he wasn't. Anywho, I would love to hear the whole story, as painful as it may be Ki-Ki, and then maybe I will return the favor when the time comes.

Depends what you want to know? Her names Laura, she's 17, goes to 6th form. I'm 17, my names Kieran, I.. do sod all.

Went over her house again tonight, she runs a small beauty company or something. Her and her colleagues got this.. fete thing tommorow where there selling products. So needed to go over hers to help make some more 'Bath Bombs' to sell. I smell of Summer Fruits now =)

Then we went upstairs, ate Doritos & watched Johnathan Ross.

Got a text from family saying:

'lol its pissing down, when you coming home?'

I lied, said I had to go since it was about 11ish. thunder & lightning. She basically said

'Shut up, getting a lift with my mum.'

Because I'd apparently get electricuted and die if I walked home in the storm. Went downstairs, talked to her parents. Well she talked to her parents. Dad said no to giving me a lift home because he's been drinking. I said It's fine I really can walk, Mum said sure let me get coat.

Then we all got in the car, drove across the city dodging epic lightning & thunder to get me home. In which I still, got, wet.

Came online, texted her a few times, started to watch Lost.. that was, recorded.. the night before. Storm got worse, turned PC off. Turned it back on. Finished.. loading Lost.. then watched Lost.. Watched the trailer for next time ON Lost. Tried to work out the preview music for the next time trailer ON Lost.

Logged onto DVX User. Saw Penguins post. Replied with this.

That's my evening. Now I'm gonna go to sleep, It's 03:33.

I didn't ask for your life story, but I'll take it. I'm glad you had a good time, and got past that awkward dealio. What's funny is that you said in your post that you are going to sleep but you're talking to me right now on MSN. Further, your bitching about me getting a custom title before you, maybe it should be "Liar" Hmmm...
