Is this the sequel to "The Master of Disguise"?
Let us hope that there is NEVER a sequel to The Master Of Disguise.
However, it was kinda funny in spots, especially when Grampa had been "in disguise" as the family dog for, like, 10 years or something, and in the alternate ending the kid says "please, just once, go back to being a dog" and Grampa says "okay, but please... no more dog food..."

My guess (not as original as some here )
Some sort of video production training DVD that grew out of Barry's Careers for Wounded Marines Program...
Or maybe a promotional film showing the fruits of their labors for fundraising purposes?
