Hey guys,

I just ordered my camera and am brand new on the forum. I looked around quite a bit and I didn't see a post dedicated to motion and frame speeds. What is the best setting to be on to get that perfect smooth, slow-motion? Thanks alot

Shoot 60i with a 1/120th shutter.

Drop into a 23.976 timeline and slow the footage to 40% of it's original speed using an interpolate deinterlace method.

Even better is if you have After Effects, using pixel motion for the 40% slowdown.

So it turns out William and I replied to this at the exact same time. So in short, What he said.

I have some test footage using this method which you can see HERE.

There are some other ways with time remapping and what not in after effects but I dont have the slightest of clue how to do that. Check around the forums.

For less extreme slow mo you can shoot 30p and slow to 80 percent in a 24p timeline. However This is almost unoticeable in my opinion.
