Hi, Im very interested in raylight MXFX and seems like a great app but there are still some things im unclear about, my workflow is intended for avid on the Mac
1. Im aware that Raylight MXFX is windows only at the moment and thought i heard that a Mac version is planned for, if if so is there any timeline as to when this may be available? And would it have the same features that Raylight MXFX has for windows?
2. Ive been able to find that Raylight MXFX can be used on a mac using bootcamp to go through windows, but will Raylight MXFX work with Parallels?
3. So the biggest drawback with avid and DVCProHD 1080p24 format is that you can only edit in 1080 60i timeline. With Raylight MXFX pulldown removal, will i be able to take my media that is shot in DVCProHD at 1080p24 Advanced which is still a 60i, use Raylight MXFX to remove the 2:3:3:2 pulldown, create an avid project that is 1080 24p format(instead of 1080 60i format that I am currently stuck with when using DVCProHD 1080 24pA) and import the media to work in a native 24p timeline in avid?
4. I am also interested in the image flip function of Raylight MXFX. It awesome that there is no recompression when flipping 720p mxf files. As for the 1080 line files on the site you mention there is some recompression. Is there anyway possible that DVFilm or someone with Raylight MXFX could do a test for me? Heres what I am looking for:
I would do this myself but do not have a PC to try it on, and I dont have bootcamp because im on OSX 10.4 and didnt download bootcamp before it was removed as an option for 10.4 so it could be a feature of leopard only and supported by leopard only.
If anyone can answer any of these questions, you would be a Godsend! Thanks in advance and if this can all work out then I will be buying Raylight MXFX VERY SOON!
please come out with a Mac version soon!!

- A 1080 line format image/clip that is flipped with RaylightMXFX without using the noise reduction in Raylight MXFX
- A 1080 line format image/clip that is flipped with RaylightMXFX with using the noise reduction in Raylight MXFX
- And the original 1080 line format image/clip untouched to compare to the other two
